Piano Recital

The kids had a piano recital today at a retirement home near our house. Mike wasn't able to come because he was scheduled to do Elders Quorum visits.  The kids did great.  Maysen played perfectly! Preston was so cute when he introduced himself.  He played his first song great, but his second song he had a little trouble with.  At home he played it fine, but I didn't realize his teacher was planning on doing a duet with him.  That kind of messed him up.  (Preston knew he was doing a duet, we just never practiced that way.)  Both Jorja and Stockton did good as well.  They played on a grand piano.  The place where you put the music was a little high, so they had a bit trouble seeing the notes.  All of them managed though.  I was so proud of them!  We ended up sitting next to Brandon's neighbor.  It was funny that we were able to figure that out.

Preston is in charge of dinner this week.  I asked him if he wanted to pick a restaurant.  He wanted to go to Kneaders.  We compromised with some of the other kids and did half Chick-Fil-A and half Kneaders. Everyone was happy and we survived!

Mike gave his big presentation today.  It was well received and he was proud of it.  He was also glad it was done.  He received several nice e-mails.  That is always good!
