Good News and Bad News

We'll start with the good news.  Mike was able to get a ton of work done on the boys room today.  It is looking so good!  I'm excited for Stockton to see it when he gets home from scout camp.  Mike had to move Stockton's bed.  When he did there was a tiny bit of wall showing that had not been written on.  Preston was more than happy to take care of that!

 Wait!  He needed some orange!
I love it!  Mike worked his guts out today.
The window.  We need to get a molding for the edge.
We plan to put the wood on the ceiling too,
but Mike will have to shave down the door a bit.
Now for the bad news.  Our pool is going to cost us more money than we thought (of course), and it will take longer for them to fix it than we realized --  6 weeks!  The summer will almost be over!  So sad.  They don't make some of the parts that our pool needs anymore, so I'm worried what it will look like when it is done.  1/2 of the pool will have the regular brick around it, the other half will have concrete.  It was going to be way too expensive to get it to all look the same.  They would have had to take out the curves because the new way to do things they wouldn't be able to do any slopes.  By that time you get up into the $50,000 range.  We will just have to deal with a half and half looking pool.  Hopefully it's not obnoxious.
What our pool looks like now.
 So sad.
But Preston's adorable, so that's good.
Maysen also finished her pajama pants that they started in Young Womens over a year ago.  The leader who was doing this project got released.  Maysen called her up this week and asked if she could help her finish the project.  Maysen went over today and finished it up.
Lovely Maysen with her new creation.
