Human Velcro

This morning we took a hike in Dixie National Forrest. Stockton was so fast, I didn't see him the entire way up. Maysen was playing in the river at the top and slipped in. She was soaked - and happy about it.

Stockton was anxious to play at the lake. I'm not sure if he understood the concept of canoeing. Stockton and Jorja both tried the rope swing, and the water was FREEZING! Mike and Steve each went canoeing and both spent time in the water. Wackos.

Preston could only get a finger on the swing
Mike dipped Preston in. He decided it was too cold!

Mike went with Maysen tubing down a river. While they were gone, Jorja and Preston went on a treasure hunt. The treasure was otter pops.
Preston
Stockton loved the archery range. He makes the silliest faces when he shoots. Brandon was really good. His mom asked him how he got so good. He said, "It's called scout camp Mom."

Mike, Maysen, Jorja and Preston all went barrel racing. Although it was really hard to get the horses to understand the concept of race. They liked to mosey - which is fine when Preston is on, but when you are being timed, that is another story.

Next was mutton busting. The sheep was pretty fast. The goal is to hold on until you fall. Stockton held on, and would not fall. We decided he was human velcro. Maysen said, "Stockton didn't fall because he's stubborn and rebellious."

Mike had a hard time with his allergies today. He walked around with a towel round him during most of the rodeo. He did have a surgical mask, but decided against wearing it. Too bad he is so allergic, he loves horses. I should be the one allergic, then I would have a great excuse. I did just test the video after finishing the blog for the day. Looks like it isn't working. Mike is in a drug induced coma, so I'll get him to fix that in the morning....hopefully.

The older/crazy ones went calf riding. Many bruises were had. I decided to skip this one. I did do the obstacle course with Preston though.
Nathan - he hit his head HARD!

Last, the kids got to chase a calf. The goal was to rip duct tape off. Some had X's written on the back side of them. Those you could win an otter pop. One had a dollar bill under it. Xander won that one.
Stockton
We went from the rodeo to a hay ride. This is about as close as Mike would dare come to that allergy trap. As soon as we got back, Mike went skeet shooting with his brother and Spencer.

After dinner they had line dancing, but the kids opted to go to sleep instead. There was a band playing, and Tage even got to sing. She sounded great! We played cards while the band played, and I uploaded pictures to the blog. That took forever. Guess I shouldn't take a billion pictures. Oh well, I'll be glad later.
