I Am A Dragon Lover

I am a dragon lover
I wonder who else believes in these creatures
I hear their voices in my ears
I see them when I sleep
I want to write stories about them
I am a dragon lover

I pretend I am with the dragons I write
I feel the pain they feel
I touch their hearts one by one
I worry about their fates
I cry when I write another one lost
I am a dragon lover

I understand my dragons
I say it's for their own good
I dream about them almost every night
I try to preserve their home on the pages
I hope the story is right
I am a dragon lover

I saw Mr. Ward again today at work. He sure has a lot of nice things to say about you guys, especially Mike. He seems to be doing really well, and looked strong for someone that has cancer. He said he has like four more Chemos left. Plus, it looks like his beverage of choice is now Diet Coke.

Plus he mentioned that Dad taught his priesthood lesson last Sunday and mentioned me. We can only hope he didn't misrepresent the facts.

Anyway, thought I'd let you know. He's going to be subbing just down the hall from me around thanksgiving.

The story I told was when we were trying to potty train Stephanie and also teach Spencer to only take one bread when the Sacrament tray came around. We would give Stephanie one piece of candy if she did #1 and two pieces of candy if she did #2. Spencer thought he should get candy, even though he was potty trained. So we comprimised and gave him candy every time Stephanie went. So he was hounding her, coaxing her to go potty every two seconds so he could get candy. Anyway, our first Sunday in the 5th ward, the Sacrament tray came to us and Spencer took just one. Then, in his super loud voice, he said, "You only take one, huh dad!" Shhhh, I whispered. "You don't take two, huh dad!" Shhh again. "You only take two when Stephanie goes poo, huh dad!" Everyone in about the eight rows in front of us turned around to see whose kid said that. That was our introduction to the 5th ward.

Nice to know things haven't changed much... I think I'll share with my classes when we get back on Tues.

Man Dad, you LOVE that story. Why were you teaching Mr. Ward a priesthood lesson anyway?

Bubs, next time you see Mr. Ward, tell him hello from us. He was the best teacher. Weird to think that he is subbing now....lucky kids.
