Maysen was inducted into the National Jr. Beta Club today. They had a cute little assembly where they each got to light a candle. Maysen was excited about the candle. It reminded her of a scene from The Thing About Georgie. (Great book by the way).
Here is Maysen with Mrs. McLendon. She was Maysen's 1st and 2nd grade teacher. Now she is her Program Challenge teacher. Maysen adores Mrs. Mac. Stockton likes her as well. I think Mrs. McLendon was the one who officially introduced Stockton to poetry. He always liked it, and dabbled around with poems, but he never started writing like crazy until Mrs. Mac's poetry unit.
